The cast of the Rotherhithe Gospels
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
As things currently stand the new year marks the end of The Rotherhithe Playhouse.
Our first year or so and six productions has only been possible through a small army of theatre professionals donating their time and talent for free in order to keep theatre alive during the pandemic. This includes our director whose dedication to keeping the company going has meant he’s had no income for 12 months.
Long term this is simply unsustainable.
Unless we can line up donors and sponsors all the good work we've done in establishing ourselves with theatregoers who cannot afford a trip to the West End ends here.
If you care about theatre, please consider making a donation no matter how small. (link below) Every penny makes a difference, a very tangible difference you’ll be able to see in front of your eyes when/if we take to the stage again.
And please get in touch if you, your family or business would be interested in sponsoring a show or part of a show, either anonymously or for the good will and publicity it would generate in raising the morale of our community at these difficult times. (email address below)
If we can’t continue, we will return your donation.
